Hearing loss can range from a mild annoyance to the distressing inability to participate in the world around you.
Test your hearing
Hearing loss can lead to decreased performance in school or on the job.
Ear, Nose and Throat physicians can determine the cause of hearing loss and recommend medicine, surgery, or hearing aids.
|
A physician specializing in diseases of the ears is the person best qualified to determine the type of hearing loss you have, its cause, and the appropriate treatment. In some cases, correction of a medical problem can improve hearing. Occasionally, surgery is necessary. Many times, hearing aids are the solution by maximizing your remaining hearing. Modern digital technology has dramatically improved both the performance and appearance of hearing aids. Many people who were disappointed by hearing aids in the past are surprised at their ability to hear with the new technologies.

Many people who suffer from sinus and allergy problems feel that they’ve “tried everything." They are often surprised that much more can be done. Most people can be helped with medications. When problems don’t respond, specialized allergy testing and treatment can be performed at our office.
Occasionally, abnormalities of the structure and shape of the nasal and sinus passages can cause obstruction and chronic infections. Outpatient surgeries can correct these abnormalities, restoring open breathing passages and relieving sinus symptoms.
Many East Texans suffer from allergies, sinus disease and nasal obstruction.
Symptoms include nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, facial or tooth pain, chronic sore throat and ear problems.
A wide variety of treatments are available to restore clear breathing passages and relieve sinus and allergy problems.

Even mild snoring can lead to decreased sleep for you or your partner. Severe snoring prevents you from reaching the deepest levels of sleep, causing excessive sleepiness during the day. This can cause difficulties in school or on the job. Sometimes, the obstruction is so severe that breathing stops temporarily. This is known as obstructive sleep apnea. If left untreated, obstructive sleep apnea can lead to serious heart and lung complications. Treatments are available for all forms of snoring and airway obstructions. At Ear, Nose and Throat Associates of East Texas, we’re ready to help.
Snoring can be a sign of serious medical problems, including obstructive sleep apnea.
Snoring can be caused by allergies, blocked nasal passages, enlarged tonsils and adenoids, or blockage from the tongue or palate.
Severe snoring is more than an annoyance – it can threaten your long-term health.
A new non-surgical procedure for snoring is now available in our office. Visit www.pillarprocedure.com for more information on this new procedure.

Our most special patients
At Ear, Nose and Throat Associates of East Texas, we understand the special needs of children with medical problems from infancy through adolescence. Most pediatric problems in our specialty involve the ears, tonsils, and adenoids, but we are also trained to handle the wide spectrum of pediatric diseases of the head and neck.
Children’s medical problems are unique and they are often unable to communicate their symptoms.
We strive to make things easier for our youngest patients. We have a separate waiting area for children with educational toys and television showing children’s programming. We believe that an enjoyable and non-threatening environment is very important to maximize the child’s participation in the examination, helping us to make an accurate diagnosis and develop the most effective treatment plans.
